Who are we?

“I would like to make an insanely great experience that gives value back to those that have provided me with the same.”

That one thought… that one core belief… is the backbone of why Jordan Hendry founded and created ScoreBreak.

The company’s CEO, though, is not just product obsessed. He is not just a future thinker and designer. He is exactly the thing he now drives to support. Jordan is a lacrosse player.

“The automated scorebook was a curiosity of mine. Statistics mattered, especially in lacrosse. There was a high value on those stats. I used to watch team managers, who were a fabric of the team, take stats in the book. I saw ScoreBreak as the next version of the book.”

Hendry played lacrosse in college in the early 2000’s, well before digital was part of the verbiage. Game film was on DVD and not easily shared among teams… or even within your own team.

“Coaches had all the DVD’s,” Hendry said. “I had to go into the coaches office to watch film. They had all the access.”

In 2015, Hendry started working with friends at the University of Denver. Sports Information Director Niko Blankenship was vital to the early development of ScoreBreak. Blankenship allowed Jordan to watch how stats were taken and shared with coaches and players. It was there that Hendry made a realization.

“The stats were live in StatCrew for people to access. My hunch was that those stats could create a sync to video. At the heart of our patent is time,” Hendry said.

It was then that Hendry realized ScoreBreak needed to use the statistics gathered during games to index the film.

But there was another part of the process. It was when Jordan started playing pro ball that he recognized there was something missing. Pro lacrosse, even in today’s advanced leagues like the PLL, is not like other pro leagues. These players have “real” jobs and homes and families in cities all over the country. And they go home all week only to rejoin their teammates in time for the games. So Jordan quickly realized there wasn’t time for watching film or game planning. Certainly not together as a team. These are the things players would take for granted in college.

So Hendry set out to equip coaches, athletes, and teams to be better prepared through cutting-edge technology, an unmistakable commitment to product, and to the relentless pursuit of game-changing innovation. He wanted everyone on the team to have access to the film. On their devices, for them to view on their time. He wanted every team to have access to every game, a true digital film sharing platform with indexed film synched to the stats.

His vision was simple — To improve performance through increased efficiency and better use of time - existing in the background while serving as an indispensable tool to athletes, coaches and programs.

Hendry wanted this tool to be applicable across all sports and verticals. He partnered with local high school basketball teams in Colorado. He quickly spread out in lacrosse, using his expansive rolodex to inundate the D1 men’s lacrosse market. Today, ScoreBreak is used by almost 70% of the top 20 teams in the country. ScoreBreak has partnered with professional leagues like the Premier Lacrosse League and Athletes Unlimited. ScoreBreak also works with the NBA Academy for penetration into the global market.

ScoreBreak is always in development. The mission is to never, ever rest on laurels. If the product is great today, just wait to see how amazing it can be tomorrow. On demo calls, coaches would routinely see the product and say, “Wow, this changes everything.” Hendry and his staff incorporated that into a way of thinking, a way to always strive to be better.

ScoreBreak is poised to become an industry leader and disruptive force in the market. Who wants to come along for the ride?
